Packaging Policy
Our commitment to quality materials, eco-friendly options, structural integrity, and full proof approval before every production run.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Purpose
This Packaging Policy outlines the standards, materials, and practices Ali Abbas Traders LLC applies to every order we produce. Our goal is to deliver packaging that is fit for purpose, consistent with agreed specifications, and produced with respect for quality and environmental impact.
2. Approved Materials
We work with a curated range of board, paper, plastic, and eco-friendly substrates. All materials used in production are sourced from verified UAE or internationally certified suppliers. Material specifications (grammage, caliper, coating) are confirmed in writing before production begins. Substitution of materials without client approval is not permitted.
3. Eco-Friendly Options
We offer recycled, FSC-certified, and biodegradable packaging options across most of our product range. Soy-based and water-based inks are available for eco-conscious orders. Where possible, we minimise plastic use and encourage clients to choose sustainable alternatives. Please discuss eco preferences with our team when placing your order.
4. Proof Approval Before Production
No packaging order enters production without a formally approved artwork proof. Digital proofs (PDF) are standard. Physical press proofs or prototypes are recommended for new designs, custom structures, or colour-critical work. Once you approve the proof in writing, production proceeds exactly as approved. Errors on approved artwork are the client's responsibility.
5. Structural Integrity
All packaging structures are tested for fitness of purpose — including box compression strength, seal integrity for flexible packaging, and die-line accuracy. We will advise if your chosen material is not suitable for the intended load, moisture exposure, or transport conditions. It is your responsibility to inform us of any special requirements.
6. Quantity Tolerance
Due to the nature of print production, actual quantities delivered may vary by ±5% of the ordered quantity. We invoice for actual quantities dispatched. If you require an exact minimum quantity, please inform us and we will over-order to account for production tolerance.
7. Quality Inspection
Every production run undergoes a quality inspection before dispatch. We check print registration, colour consistency, structural integrity, and count accuracy. Inspection records are retained for 90 days. If you wish to receive a QC report with your order, please request it at the time of order placement.
8. Storage & Handling Recommendations
Store packaging in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight. Avoid stacking heavy loads on top of flat-packed cartons. Packaging exposed to moisture, extreme heat, or UV light may degrade before use — we are not liable for damage caused by improper storage after delivery.
9. Food-Safe & Regulated Packaging
For packaging that will come into direct contact with food, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated products, you must inform us at the time of enquiry. We will source materials with the appropriate certifications. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that final packaging complies with applicable UAE and international regulations for their specific product category.
10. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in materials, regulations, or best practices. The current version is always available on our website. Orders placed after a policy update are subject to the revised terms.
